COINS
Nowruz Coins, also known as Seeb, is one of the traditional items that is included in the Haft-seen set, which is an arrangement of seven items that are placed on the Sofreh-ye Haft-seen during the Persian New Year, known as Nowruz. These items symbolize different wishes and meanings for the new year.
The coins, typically gold or silver, are placed on the Haft-seen table, along with other traditional items such as Sabzeh, Samanu, Senjed, Seer, Sumac, and Serkeh. The coins are a symbol of wealth and financial prosperity in the new year, and are believed to bring good luck.
It is worth noting that, Not all coins are used as Seeb on Haft-seen table, different gold or silver coins can be used for this purpose, however, traditionally, using old Persian Coins or Coins from previous dynasties, is more common. Also, it is not a mandatory or standard inclusion in the traditional setting, but it is a common practice to include it in the traditional Haft-seen Set.
