CANDLE HOLDER
In Iran, it is traditional to use candle holders as part of the Haft-Seen table setting during the Persian New Year, or Nowruz. The Haft-Seen is a special arrangement of items that symbolize different aspects of life and the natural world, and it typically includes seven items that begin with the Persian letter “sin.” One of these items is a candle, which represents light and enlightenment. The candle is usually placed in a candle holder and is lit on the first day of Nowruz as a symbol of the triumph of light over darkness. Candle holders are also used in other traditional celebrations and ceremonies in Iran, such as weddings and funerals.
